Days of our Lives
For those of you guys following days of our lives, you know there's been a stalker angle with Stephanie (Abigail Klein). Well today, she FINALLY got kidnapped by the psycho, chloroformed in Kayla's office.
The last scene of the episode showed her tied to a chair, wrists to the chair arms, still unconscious, and cleave gagged (almost comically now, with that SAME ubiquitous black cloth that they use every single time someone on that show gets tied and gagged!)
I would love to know why exactly they always use that same black cloth, maybe they feel it shows up better on film?
Anyway, this storyline has been playing out for months and months now so glad it's finally paying off!

Onscreen soaked chloth of chloro
Do you have scenes with a shot on a cloth being soaked with chloroform before the damsel got knocked out

It's a nice little scene. All three girls are lying on a bed with their hands tied behind their backs. The villain monologues about their impending doom. After George and Bess get their gags back, they manage to trick a captor into stumbling on a weak spot on the floor. Nancy gets off the bed and rubs her face on a handle to remove her gag, screams for help, is handgagged, and bites him. Bess works her gag off to scream and they are rescued. I guess this serves as a PSA to always hogtie your damsels, folks.

Small stuffed gag
Any scenes where someone is tape gagged and the tape is removed then the stuffing is taken out but you didn't know it was a stuff gag because it was packed in there so discretely?

JP, thanks for the information!

I had been recording the following U.S. afternoon soap operas: THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS (CBS), THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL (CBS), BEYOND THE GATES (CBS), GENERAL HOSPITAL (ABC) and then fast-forwarding through them to see if there are any scenes. However, I did not know what the plots were that way, so now I am actually watching them. If anything interesting happens on any of those shows, I will let everybody know.

However, DAYS OF OUR LIVES is no longer being broadcast on NBC. As far as I know, it is only being shown on NBC's streaming service PEACOCK (which I do not get). Is that how you see DAYS OF OUR LIVES?

Speaking of soap operas, I have a message about BEYOND THE GATES which I will post next.

BEYOND THE GATES (unfulfilled potential)
In an episode of BEYOND THE GATES (CBS) last week (I do not remember which day) "Vanessa" (LAUREN BUGLIOLI) blindfolded and handcuffed her lover ("Joey") in order to add variety to their sexual activities. In Friday's episode, "Joey" returned the favor by presenting "Vanessa" with the same blindfold. "Joey" starts to put the blindfold on "Vanessa", then it cuts to a point-of-view shot of her vision as the blindfold is being applied. Then the scene ends. I thought that we would get a scene of her blindfolded and bound and maybe even gagged. However, the next time we see "Vanessa", she meets her friends at a restaurant and says "Sorry I'm late. I was tied up."

What FRUSTRATION! It is as if they were deliberately teasing us!

We never actually get a shot of "Vanessa" blindfolded. However, when "Joey" is applying the blindfold, there is an instant where the (untied) blindfold is in front of her mouth while he raises it up to her eyes. With the pause button and some imagination, this shot can be of interest to us.

I am recording them as I am watching them. If anything interesting happens, I will post here about it.

Yes, only on Peacock, although I think you can find those jumpy versions on YT.

Yep, we get Peacock, my wife has a few shows on it she likes and I got hooked kinda on DOOL a couple of years ago when I was laid up after knee surgery and looking for stuff to watch during the day (this was back when it was still on NBC). Then when it was pulled off of NBC, I knew we had Peacock so it didn't miss a beat.

This thing with Stephanie has been brewing for months....and it went from "there is this obsessed stalker sending Stephanie love notes after reading her book" to stuff like "Do you really think Stephanie is in danger of being kidnapped"...so the kidnapping angle has been planted for a very long time...it's just been a case of "When:

Gotta love the setup to the kidnapping, nothing has changed in 40 years of watching this stuff. I'd love to see this actress with her mouth taped, but that blouse is pretty loose.
