| Additional notes on this episode: When MacGyver and Dalton find Cage lying on the road, her wrists and ankles are indeed zip-tied. But a closer examination of her bindings shows also a black plastic strap running from her waist to her ankles, holding her legs folded back into a hogtie (which explains why she didn't get up and bunny-hop out of the traffic). Mac cuts her free by means of – what else? - his trusty Swiss Army knife. In the episode's second storyline, MacGyver's friend, Wilt Bozer, who has been helping the team on an informal basis, has recently been sent to spy school for formal training. Tonight, he is paired with fellow student Leanna Martin (Reign Edwards) for training in how to resist interrogation. The two sit opposite each other, Wilt as the “interrogator”, and Leanna as the “captured spy”. Leanna's wrists are handcuffed in front, with the chain of the cuffs looped around a bar set into the interrogation table. When Wilt fails to break Leanna within the allotted 24-hour time limit, their trainer comes into the room. She unlocks the cuffs and congratulates Leanna for having kept the “secret code word” secret. |
