| Record number: 30514 Title: Pitfall (2025) Medium: Movie Actress: Alexandra Essoe, Jordan Claire Robbins Description: Low-budget horror film about a group of campers who head into the wilderness and are stalked by a hunter who uses his bow-and-arrows for evil. At one point Ashley (Essoe) and Gwen (Robbins) disappear from the campsite. After a search, they are discovered in one of the tents bound and cleave gagged at which point the attack upon the campsite begins. Based on vidcaps and a vidclip - no other information is avaialbe. Found a DVD copy and here are the details, an additional scene and the timestamps... At the 72 minute mark, Charlie returns with firewood to discover his girlfriend Ashley (Essoe), her brother Scott's fiance Gwen (Robbins) and Scott's annoying friend Lars are missing. He hears the girls muffled screams and unzips a tent to find them bound and gagged. The film's villain then clobbers Charlie. He awakes to find he's been trapped in another tent and that is set on fire by the villain as Ashley screams for him to wake up. Some close-ups of the bound and gagged trio follow with Ashley eventually working her gag off and crying for Charlie but by the time he escapes the tent, he's succumbed to the smoke and the burns. Lars gets a knife and frees himself then unties Gwen who removes her gag. The group are stalked by the villain and encounter a pair of lost hikers who have also been terrorized the last few days. The villain eventually kills the hikers and carries Ashley away over his shoulder. At the 86 minute mark, Scott, who has been trapped in a pit with a spike impaled through his leg, is awakened to find that the villain has tied Ashley to a rotted tree and placed her directly above the pit. Ashley's wrists and ankles are tied with rope (with several close-up's) as the tree slowly breaks away. The long 20 minute final sequence sees Ashley trying to cut herself free from the ropes using her AA token while rain fills up the pit to drown Scott and the villain battles Lars and Gwen who ends up caught by a rope and a bear trap. |
