Sunday August 05 03:54:05 2001 Correction for My Uncle The Alien (1329 ) |
Record number: 1329 Title: My Uncle The Alien (1996) Medium: Movie Actress: Hailey Foster Correcting some inaccuracies and expanding on the description: Foster's hands and feet are initially bound with rope, not duct tape as the original poster said. She is gagged with duct tape. She appears to be in a hogtie during this sequence, although it's very difficult to be sure and it's fairly loose if it is (there is supporting evidence later, which I'll get to). This sequence - with Foster in a van - consists of probably six or eight 3-5 second clips of struggling, with Foster twisting and turning and "mmmphing" quite a bit. The clips are intercut with scenes of the kidnappers talking, etc. The next sequence has Foster tied to some kind of sculpture in a wax museum. There are ropes around her arms binding her to the sculpture-thing, and her hands are behind her. Her feet are out of the picture, so no telling if they're tied. She is still gagged with duct tape. Foster is in this position for only a few seconds before a kid putz who followed the kidnappers sneaks up to her and frees her, starting with the tape gag. NOTE: If you're one of those who can't have putzs in your scenes, you're done with this film right now. For those who can manage to ignore them (like me), read on. The two try to escape and are chased around the museum and eventually both (re)captured by the kidnappers. Foster and the putz are bound back to back, hands in front, to the same sculpture as before. Feet aren't ever in the shot, but unfortunately there are definitely no gags, apparently so that much tearjerker dialog about adolescent angst can occur. Fairly long scene (5 mins or so). The final sequence has the kidnappers on the run in their van, taking both Foster and the putz with them. Many more brief clips (3-5 seconds each) are shown of the two struggling in their bonds, which can now clearly be seen to be rope hogties! Both are also tape-gagged with duct tape, and "mmmphing" a lot. This sequence goes on for several minutes, with the climax occurring as Foster and putz are grabbed and held upright with the back doors of the van open to try and get the police chasing the van to back off. The sequence ends on a completely inexplicable note when the alien whom Foster inexplicably calls "Uncle", and whom inexplicably has done nothing but shoot the kidnappers in the ass once or twice until this point, causes Foster and putz to inexplicably be free of all restraints and, I think, inexplicably transports them to some weird place. At this point I turned the tape off because it was pretty clear anything of interest was over. |

Apologies for the formatting - I turned on HTML for the italics and failed to realize it also omitted line breaks. Here's a better version:
