Actually, I had the commentary handy, and since you reminded me that I did, I went and listened to it again, and here's what she had to say: "That looks like it's Scotch Tape, but it's not. It's this really strong saran wrap, so that it actually doesn't hurt - because you'll see that they'll make this tape go around my mouth and ummm.... normally that would pull out all my hair when it gets ripped off - but it doesn't. And, you know, inbetween takes I could stretch it out with my chin and it would fall loose." She also had some other comments about the director's predilection to have somebody tied up in every one of his movies, but that's not relevant to this. I've updated the DB entry with the correction. |
