Database no. 479 - Gang Busters (1942): Irene Hervey's gag starts out as an otm, but towards the end of the scene it has changed to a cleave; there are also stills which never made it to the screen which show her cleave-gagged. Source: MSN Moviestarnews (lobby-cards) + Clip. Database no. 2944 - The Phantom Killer (1942): Joan Woodbury's gag is a cleave (database description is not clear on this point). Source: Clip Database no. 9095 - The Fighting Marines (1935): Ann Rutherford gets bound and gagged towards the end of chapter 5 and the scene continues into chapter 6 (12 chapters total): She is put into a cupboard by the baddies and is shown tied hands in front and predominantly otm-gagged with a rather dark cloth (however, her upper lip is visible!).
