| Additional information Near the end of the movie, about 1:43, Danny Kaye returns to the mansion to find Virginia Mayo slumped in a chair, now unbound but sedated and groggy. The two of them flee through the mansion trying to find a way out. At one point, Boris Karloff and one of his henchmen come up behind Virginia and grab her. Boris applies a handgag. The handgag is very brief. As the camera pans to the left to follow Danny, the handgag is released offscreen and Virginia screams. Thankfully, the police arrive and all ends well. |
