| Thursday February 19 22:23:15 2026 [30149] Vogelfrei - Ein Schwarzwaldkrimi (2025) |
| I decided to watch it. Here is a more detailed entry. I know wall isn't a tag, but just "hands in front" doesn't feel quite right on its own. Title: Ein Schwarzwaldkrimi Medium: TV Series Actress: Pauline Pollman Description: Episode: S01E08 - Vogelfrei (2) aka S04E02 - Vogelfrei (2) aka S01E02 of Vogelfrei - Ein Schwarzwaldkrimi (miniseries) Following the murder of her lover on his wedding day, superstitious and openly prejudiced locals turn vigilante and target Sara, a young Yenish (traveller) woman (played by super-cute Pauline Pollmann). Fearing for her safety, her grandfather hides her in an old caravan in a cave deep in the forest. The danger is rooted in family history: twenty years earlier, his own sister, also called Sara, was murdered by a mob after being falsely accused of killing a man. At the end of Part 1, We see Sara peering fearfully out of the caravan window as someone approaches, but the abduction itself happens off-screen. Her captors conceal her in the observation tower of a restaurant they own - an isolated, elevated location. Sara is held at the top of the tower, seated on the floor, with her hands zip-tied together and secured to the wall, around waist height when she stands. She's gagged with black bondage tape wrapped around her mouth, with visible mouth packing beneath. There are nice gag close-ups, and lots of runny mascara. We see her there twice in daylight (10:16, 24:21), and again at dusk. During the evening scene (29:06), she manages to stand and work the tape loose. She spits out the packing, and begins screaming for help, crying out, \"Why doesn't anyone hear me?\" unaware of just how high above the ground she is. A young woman walking far below pauses, thinking she may hear someone screaming. At that moment, one of Sara's captors rushes up the tower stairs and slaps her into silence. Sara collapses back to the floor in distress; the passerby moves on. A little later (53:57), Sara is still zip-tied to the wall, gagged as before, and now unconscious (the cause is unclear). One of her captors sits beside her and apologises. It is ambiguous whether he is apologising for the kidnapping itself or for what he intends to do next: to place her barely conscious body in her lover's coffin and to bury her alive at his funeral. She is rescued by the police at the last moment. At the very end (1:25:38), Sara, her grandfather, and the police watch old black-and-white footage showing what befell her great-aunt (also named Sara). The young woman is tied, arms spread, inside a waterwheel while a crowd jeers. The wheel begins turning, and the crowd disperses, leaving her to drown slowly. It's an unpleasant scene. The historical Sara is also portrayed by Pauline Pollmann; the modern-day Sara is believed by her people to be a reincarnation. Times based on the ZDF.de video. Note: ZDF lists the film within the Schwarzwaldkrimi canon as S01E08. TMDB lists it as S04E02. IMDb currently treats Vogelfrei as a standalone miniseries, failing to recognise its place within the broader Schwarzwaldkrimi series structure, labelling this as S01E02. country_de, bonddesc_handsinfront, bonddesc_wall, restraint_zipties, gagtype_wraparound, ending_release, bonddesc_handsspread, restraint_rope, peril_drowning, ending_death |
