Dinosaur Island
Record number: 1564

Title: Dinosaur Island (1994)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Becky LeBeau

Description: A girl is tied up topless and sacrificed to a dinosaur.

Just saw this terrible movie. The actress has her wrists tied up between two posts and wears one of these skimpy cavegirl costumes - a bikini. She is NOT topless. The other cavegirls use her as a bait for the dinosaur but release her in time.

Buffalo Bill Jr./Angie Dickinson
David,
You seem to pay a lot of attention to the integrity of the database so I'd like to ask about #3506. This entry for Angie Dickinson contains a good description.... but I have recently tracked down a copy of the episode (The Death of Johnny Ringo)and what is in the database isn't even close. Angie gets tied to a chair in a room with the rest of the cast .... but no gag .. and the way the scene plays out there is no way the present description would be a fit. I don't think it got chopped out either.
What happens in a case like this? I've noticed what one person recently complained about which is that a number of database entries are a short statement of fact and some seem to be based on Brent Smith's Anthology series. The entry for Angie Dickinson may be based on Brent's information because one of the cap's on his page resembles a young Dickinson about to be gagged in the manner described in #3506... but it sure didn't happen that way in "The Death of Johnny Ringo". Yet what was entered into 3506 seems so genuine that I hesitate to say it was made up. Is there anyway to confirm 3506? Do you, or any of the others, have a copy of Brent's tape to check?
Aside from a sincere desire that the database be as accurate as possible, I would also like to resolve this entry to spare anyone else from buying a copy of "The Death of Johnny Ringo" (like I did)under the assumption that 3506 fits the description. I'm a big fan of Angie's so getting the tape was not an actual loss for me because it was a kick to see her in something from so long ago ... but someone else expecting an excellent gag scene is not going to be happy at all. Help!

Well, shhh-ugar. I put this one in based on a) Brent Smith's tape website, b) an episode guide for Buffalo Bill, Jr., c) the picture on Brent's site and d) my recollection (or imagination) of the action that the cap triggered, but thought with the help of a, b and c, that I was attributing it correctly to B.B.Jr. Screen creep is a terrible thing.

I don't have this Brent Smith tape; the only one I ordered I never received, so I'm not about to repeat the unpleasant and expensive experience. I can only apologize for causing you to buy a tape based on my misinformation and shall amend the description to prevent other dissatisfied customers.

Another Heather Duplicate
Record number: 141
Title: T.J. Hooker
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Heather Locklear

Description: Episode: "Trackdown"

Heather goes undercover as a waitress and is taken captive by a kidnapper she is trying to catch and ends up handcuffed to a bedpost, ankles bound with rope, and gagged with a strip of white adhesive tape over her mouth.

Record number: 4501
Title: T.J.Hooker
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Heather Locklear

Description: Heather Locklear has been abducted by a serial killer. She is cuffed to a seat in the back of a van. William Shatner is chasing the van and causes an accident in which the van gets totally crashed. But what a surprise: Heather is not dead, she is still sitting on her seat and lets Shatner run after the killer instead of untying her.

Not as easy to spot as others, but this is also a duplicate entry. Both scenes occur in "Trackdown", both in the last 15 minutes, in above order. I am sure about it because the episode was repeated last week in Germany.
This leads me to believe that the person(s) creating this bunch of duplicates may also be from Germany, like me (also the reference to "Akte X", which is the German title of the X-files). Sorry for that, although I am not responsible for it.

Got it. I wouldn't bet my Dick Tracy decoder ring on it, but I'd say this duplicate was made by a different person than most of the others. The writer is certainly more articulate; the entry is written in complete sentences without a bunch of typos that mark almost all of the others.

Too true ... but who hasn't had it? Interestingly enough, I put A,B, and C together just the way you did except I had never seen any episode of Buffalo Bill Jr. until I got the tape.

You know what... I wouldn't trade your response on this matter for twice the cost of the tape and I don't want you to think for a millisecond that an apology is required because: 1) I'm in agreement with both you and Biff that the paramount mission is to gather all the information possible. Scene creep is going to have it's moments but every entry brings us closer to the full DiD history...especially the pre-VCR stuff 2)Your forthright response about the Brent Smith experience is invaluable to me because I have been an inch away several times from ordering a particular tape from them and held off due to the "Buyer Beware" notice. Now I see what the problem is 3) The books are still open on the Angie scene. Ok, now we have eliminated "The Death of Johnny Ringo" but the babe in the Brent Smith cap sure looks like her. She was just getting started back then and, like MTM and a few other biggies, bounced around from western to western. The cap could be from some other episode or a different series. If she had such a scene it would be great to nail it down. The quest for the old ones is 3/4 of the thrill for me .. so the research continues for the elusive A.D. scene and I don't have to keep wondering if 3506 represents an uncut version of what happened on BBJr 4)It's obvious that you are in it for the right reasons and not the all too common B.S. about scoring points or being some sort of "insider" in this realm. It is great to deal with someone dedicated to accuracy.
So thanks for your response. It's good to know that you, in particular, are guarding the gate.
