| In the final episode of the recent BBC thriller that aired this week, lead character Ria, played by Gabrielle Creevy, who is about to expose her employers, gets bundled into a car and tied to the handle (slightly loosely) by USB cable. She then later gets tied to a kitchen chair, with what looks like tape, but bonds aren't shown. She remained bound and gagged for the entirety of the story, and wasn't even freed by her rescuers, her fellow Cracked characters. She was bound and gagged in the last panel, where the motley crew of rescuers posed for a picture. |

| The new version of Inspector Lynley has a scene in its fourth episode, "With No One as a Witness." The title character's love interest played by Niamh Walsh is kidnapped off screen. She wakes up cleave-gagged with a white cloth, her hands tied behind her back with rope. Some blood on the side of her head. Scene lasts a couple minutes as killer talks. She manages to get her hands free and escape as he is about to inject her with drugs. Caught again a little later with a handgag, but then the hero arrives to save her. In this case Chase Infiniti spends the most time in the last act with her hands zip tied behind her. But manages to get them up front. Spends the rest of the movie that way until basically the end. But not much else after. |

At the end of the episode, Ethyl opens the door to the closet and we see her bound and gagged wearing a robe, sitting in a sink and struggling indignantly. The episode ends on that shot. It is implied that Ethyl will free her. NOTE: The actress playing the dancer still has not been identified. MY THEORY: This episode is from early in the first season of I LOVE LUCY, which originally ran from 1951 to 1957. The ORIGINAL opening and closing credit sequences from first season episodes are DIFFERENT from the opening and closing credit sequences from later seasons. HOWEVER, first season episodes shown in syndication (repeats shown after the original run of the series) have been RE-EDITED to replace the original opening and closing credit sequences with the opening and closing credit sequences of later seasons. The copyright date contained in the closing credit sequence of the syndication version of this episode is 1952. However, since the episode is from early in the first season, it SHOULD have a copyright date of 1951. That means that the closing credit sequence of the syndication version of this episode (that does not contain any guest acting credits) is actually NOT from the original version of this episode! Rather, it is from some later episode (I do not know which). THE ORIGINAL closing credit sequence MIGHT contain the name of the actress that plays the dancer. The only way to test my theory is to watch the ORIGINAL version of this episode and see if the closing credit sequence contains the name of the actress that plays the dancer. It should be included in the official DVD collection, which I do not have at this time. |

Yes, Laurel Marsden plays the kidnapped girl and she's on again/off again tape-gagged through the entire movie. She also has her hands chained behind her with a pair of handcuffs and for the finale, she's taped down to a table, tape around her shoulders, thighs and ankles and she has to break loose while there's a fire around her. Pretty good scene as she struggles to free herself. |
