Which shouldn't come as any surprise, I rarely post

How was I being lenient if I HADN'T SEEN THEM.

Well, it certainly sounded that way to me, as in,
"you deleted my stuff for being off-topic yet this
is allowed to go."

When you see something off-topic you should either:

1. Ignore the post entirely as to not make extra work
for me by replying.

2. Request a point-of-order and ask me to rule.
Speculating on my motives is a poor idea, since you
have no idea what they are.

Something along the lines of: "If you want a really fresh, original vision of Wonder Woman that reflects the success of the original series, you should strongly consider going back to the originator's vision of Wonder Woman. Marsden understood that as a powerful woman she would have a lot of power and control issues in dealing with a male-dominated society, hence all the emphasis on the golden lasso, which she used to control men and which men used to control her, and her power bands, which both deflected bullets and served as shackles for her."

It all sounds very feminist but note that I'm setting them up for DiD scenes.

"Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, and Jude Law team up for the sci-fi adventure The World of Tomorrow. Paltrow plays a reporter who joins a pilot played by Jolie in the adventure of a lifetime. Law and Paltrow previously co-starred in The Talented Mr. Ripley. The film is written and directed by first timer Kerry Conran."

Perhaps we'll get Paltrow and Jolie in a double B&G scene (if we're extremely lucky)

There's a cap or two at the link. Not the most effective OTM gag ever seen.

Also along these lines, can any UK posters update the Coronation Street storyline - eg: what happened, will happen or whatever ?

This was the one where Gails husband Richard had been on a muderous rampage trying to fund his bail hostel proposal (which he really wanted to see fail). Anyway, eventually Gails finds out about his schenannigans (sp?) and gives him the boot. Well, he eventually comes back and take her 2 kids hostage (complete with cleve gags and ductaped hands to their knees. The daughter named Sarah is the cute one who looks ever so precious with her cleve gag!) Then they take the plunge into a canal and all survive except Richard. A while back, The girl who plays Toyah was held hostage in an attempt to find her real father and was tied up and gagged... Anyone find any caps of that?? She's another cutie pie! (actually the show is very good at selecting potential DiD's for future plots...hehehehe).

Over here in North America, you can see it on CBC in Canada on Sundays from 8AM-10AM when they show all the weeks episodes. They are about 12 weeks behind, so the storyline should be hitting soon..

A somewhat sheepish Overlooker replies: Believe it or no, I remembered the stuff about Wagner, Valkyrie being a woman, ete etc, but that was about 5 seconds after I hit the 'submit' button to send my 'kudos' posting. So tho Teutonic myth and such is decidedly not my strong suit, I figured you weren't a 'he'. But I must reiterate that you are doing real good, girl [!!], submitting all those VCR alerts.

Her name is Georgia Taylor. She looks like a well dressed Kelly Osbourne. This picture came directly from her personal website.

The episode described sounds like one titled "Cop Out." I had that in my notes as having nothing, but others have described a quick car trunk scene at the end.

Tom Davis: Found some caps from Tina O'Brien's website - the original episode airdate was March 12/03 - you think we are close to seeing this? I don't follow Coronation St. (but guess I will now!) BTW, there are more caps on the website.

Thanks for the information, Paul! Yes, the scene near the end, in which the lovely blonde is bound and gagged in a car trunk, is very brief, and a viewer must be vigilant in order to notice it.
It is worthwhile to watch episodes of this series as carefully as possible and in their entirety, because there are several very brief scenes featuring bound and gagged damsels. The screenwriters of this show have been known to incorporate female bondage scenes at the very beginning or near the very end of an episode, when they are least expected; they could easily be missed by a viewer who is incognizant of this fact.

Actually I recall the Georgia Taylor scenes very well and the gag seen on TV itself was better than the picture shows.
In fact, I don't remember seeing Georgia from that particular angle in the episode concerned, so I suspect that this picture may be a publicity still, possibly for a TV listings magazine.
Don't get me wrong, the gag wasn't the greatest, but better than that picture shows. I even recall there being some drool soaked into the cloth. That being said, I never found Georgia that attractive, but that's purely my personal opinion.
I am actually trying at the moment to get this scene plus some other stuff from here in the UK (and German scenes) edited onto a tape for Fuzz, so hopefully he will have it in his inventory some time in the near future.
As for the Hollyoaks scene with Elise du Toit, of course the OTM wasn't effective at all. Gawd, it was just a bunch of students tying her up for a joke, not a gang of professional criminals!
But she is A1 GORGEOUS and she's bound and she's 'gagged', however sloppily. Believe me when I say that this
oh-too-short scene made a lot of men here in Blighty VERY happy indeed. A nice touch about Elise's predicament was that it came out of nowhere, it was one of those marvellous bonus scenes that we get sometimes when we fortunately have the VCR recording!
There may be another, more 'realistic' DID scene looming in this soap soon with any luck; the character Ellie is unwittingly living with a serial killer...

LAS VIAS DEL AMOR possibility

From Philly Ed:

**After killing his psychiatrist, Enrique switches between his good personality and evil personality. The evil personality gets the final word in and, while referring to himself in the third person, says (translated from Spanish) "Perla has to be yours. Perla is going to be yours. And if she is not yours she will be nobody's."

Immediately after this they cut to a commercial and there's a nice video clip insert of the very pretty Aracely Arambula (who plays Perla) in a bikini while laying in a shallow fountain (?) of water.

No imagery yet as to what Perla's fate will be in the coming episodes. Typically when telenovelas are in their final weeks they switch to more of a summary of what has happened rather than previews of the next episode so there may not be advance warning of imagery. At this point I can't say whether or not there will be any bondage but she will be kidnapped and that could happen as early as tomorrow's episode.

Las Vias Del Amor - weekdays at 7 PM on Univision**

Laura Croft-II
Okay, the *real* title is "Laura Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life." Anyhoo... the mass paperback novelization is out & it has the usual several pages of photos sandwiched in the middle. Among them is a pic I'd not seen before of Laura (& a putz) captured by bad guys & being led away with their wrists bound in front. (I checked the Official website & the image isn't posted.) Thank you Angelina! Thank you producers! Now... GET BUSY WITH LC-III---LAURA CROFT TOMB RAIDER: TORTURE CHAMBER OF THE GRAND INQUISITOR!!! :-)

A find: KILLING WORDS (new Spanish film)
I stumbled across this Spanish film; looks like it could be of interest, plus it may actually have some artistic merit: KILLING WORDS. I haven't actually seen it, but found some info on the Web.

Description from various websites: "Locked in a dark basement, Laura, a psychiatrist in her early thirties, contemplates in horror a video where a man confesses to be a serial killer .... Gagged and bound to a chair, Laura realizes that it's the same person who kidnapped her and who is now pacing in the shadows. ... He walks over to her, takes off the gag, and challenges Laura to play the "Word Game". If she wins, she gets to go free; but if she loses ... [unpleasant threat deleted]. Laura is terrified, but reluctantly accepts. The game begins. Laura makes a mistake. Ramon [the kidnapper] menacingly moves towards her. Laura's screams are useless."

(Without ruining the movie, I can say that this is not yet the end for Laura.)

A couple smallish and dark but nicely atmospheric photos are available here:

http://www.filmaxinternational.com/default.cfm?num_seccio=8&num_noticia=204

(Click on "More Photograms" for another photo.)

A trailer is also available at the above page, but my connection is too crappy to let me view it right now. I'd appreciate a report from anyone who can see it.

Also a few slightly larger photos here:

http://www.xs4all.be/~patvl/killingwords.html

Note: "Spanish release: April 2003." If it really is an artsy "stylish thriller" with some critical merit, maybe it will be made available in the U.S. on DVD before too long ...

Call me an awful pessimist, but here's what I foresee:

SCENE: The lavish office of Mortimer McWeezel, Hollywood bigshot. He is skimming through his e-mail and reading to himself.

MCWEEZEL:

"If you want a really fresh, original vision of Wonder Woman blah blah success of the original series, you should blah blah back to the originator's vision of Wonder Woman. Marsden understood that as a powerful woman blah blah issues blah blah hence all the emphasis on the golden lasso, which she used to control men and which --"

CELL PHONE RINGS. McWeezel answers.

MCWEEZEL:

"Yo, baby. Howzit goin'? Great, great. Howz the casting for our Wonder Woman pic going? Her? She's all wrong for the part, baby! Why? She's got dark hair! Blondes are big now. Get me Sarah Michelle Gellar. Or maybe Kirsten Dunst. Hey, look, I just got an idea we can use in developing the story -- Wonder Woman has this golden lasso, see? And -- get this -- she uses it to control men! Yeah, that'll be a running gag through the whole film. Traffic cops, shoe salesmen, auto mechanics, life insurance salesemen -- any man who gives her trouble, she's always tyin' 'em up with her lasso so she can have her way. It was in the original series, with Lynda Carter and that guy Marsden ... Lyle Marsden. Look it up! ... Look, just get me Sarah Michelle and put in the lasso bit, and I'll give you your green light. Got it? Love ya, baby. Bye."

McWeezel deletes the e-mail and takes the rest of the day off to do lunch.

Unexpected scene on "Crocodile Hunter Diaries"
On tonight's episode of "Crocodile Hunter Diaries" there was an interesting and unexpected scene. A group of women and men are lying in a circle with their bare feet tied and their hands tied in front and with sacks covering their eyes. Then a large python is placed in the center of the group and they have to stay as still as possible while the snake crawls all over them. Some good shots of one blonde girl's bound hands as the snake slithers up her body.

This is in the first 15 minutes of the episode entitled "Battle of the Pythons" and aired on Animal Planet at 8:00pm Central and repeats at 11:00pm Central.

Ooops! Must have been residue from watching "Dark Shadows" on SciFi this morning. :-)

Regarding costume, she's wearing khaki. The comingsoon.com site has a relevant image (but not the one in the book.)
