As with any special occasion - a toast to those friends we've lost along the way. Danger Theatre, Captive Penny, and everyone who helped build our community who is retired or otherwise no longer with us |

Sunday March 17 03:14:56 2024 Re: Holy Grails |
Very true, this was one of the first scenes I videotaped, unfotunately I taped over Kim's Scene as it was a very blink and miss it,and at the time considered not worth saving. In my defence at this time a 3 hour video tape cost 33 dollars and I was probably only earning about 20 dollars a week. I actually kept the scene earlier in the same episode of a tennis player who was found bound and gagged. |

On March 08 2024: Additional photos of Rebecca Ferguson’s deleted scene. Unfortunately the only one clearly visible is the one we have seen before, other 2 photos are quite dark to makeout anything. Also below, extract from her interview in which she mentions how pivotal that scene is (due to the big reveal in Part 2) and doesn’t still understand why it was cut. There is a growing fandom for Rebecca Ferguson rn and for Dune, fans craving for deleted scenes, I wouldn’t write off hope for the scenes to come out sometime in the future, despite what Denis Villenueve said! https://x.com/rfergusonweb/status/1769288499541254240?s=46 |
Sunday March 17 12:36:49 2024 These days the real Holy Grails are updates to 1080 quality. |
While I'm there's a few scenes in the DB I've yet to see that I'd love to, I wonder if the nature of the so called Grail has changed. I'd much rather have those excellent scenes I already have upgraded to BluRay/HD/1080 quality (even if I know this will not happen to most scenes). |

I actually only have 2 which are feasible to one day find in HD: Triloquist (still only a DVDrip), and all the TJ Hooker scenes in Blu-ray (like we eventually got for Wonder Woman and Charlie's Angels). The last quality upgrade for the latter was MadFish's caps from 2010, which were cropped from 4:3 to 16:9. |

The Baron's "gloating" scene is essential Dune far as I'm concerned. Now that it doesn't spoil the familial connections revelation anymore have no doubt it will be the first scene reinstated in any so-called director's cut. Rebecca Ferguson is so beautiful. Just love the way she looks in that bound pose on the floor. The scene would add so much to the film's atmosphere. Perfect illustration of Harkonnen depravity. Lynch knew this; his Baron/Jessica scene is still one of the highlights of the 1984 version... |

While you have good talking points & a well thought-out response, I will reiterate the main gripe I have about Drive Away and even the all-time classic Amores: they're very STATIC scenes. And I'm talking F/T only here. What makes Partners so unique even today is the "OK we're in trouble here, let's get to work!"-type of energy involved in their escape, albeit even though it's only Loni doing the struggling. When do we ever see a sequence of 2 damsels realistically squirming on the floor, bunnyhopping to maybe a door or window, gag-talking (not mindless screaming) & actively trying to escape? I guarantee you the above criteria -- combined -- are some of the rarest things to see in mainstream multi-damsel scenes. Even Partners didn't have the bunnyhopping part. Terror Among Us had only 1 damsel actively trying to escape. In mainstream TV/film we've had shockers like nude damsels (Emma Stone), ballgags (Lucy Hale), but never just a good old-fashioned struggle-fest between between co-captives. |

A reasonably long double cleave gag scene with two known actresses from a major studio is minor? Can I come to the reality you're living in where this sort of thing happens all the time? |

It looks like Mandeep Dhillon was taken in CSI Vegas tonight but I only caught the last 10 minutes and she was only forced to get into a trunk unbound. Not sure if there was anything before that. |

> Late to the party, but thanks for the many years, Thanks for making me realize I wasn't as crazy as I thought. All through high school I had a secret tape that I plopped into the VCR when I as alone, and I would hit record whenever an interesting scene came on. All this time I thought of myself as a lonely weirdo. I had no idea that millions of others had the exact same tastes as me and did the exact same thing. Thanks for making me feel a little better about the world. |
